Chiavetta's Catering Service, Inc. is currently hiring Food Service Workers. These exciting positions include a variety of responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to:

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Approach all encounters with customers and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
-Responsible for food production ensuring consistency in preparation & service, according to the company's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
-Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions
-Package take-out foods or serve food to customers.
-Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
-Use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods
-Receive and properly stores deliveries
-Use proper cleaning & sanitation practices.

Fill in where needed to ensure customer service standards and efficient operations.

Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the company's preventative maintenance programs.

Control food cost and usage by following proper product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.

Conduct safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation practices.

Maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.

Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.


Qualifications:
At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, coworkers and customers.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours, including breaks).
Be able to work indoors & outdoors.
Must be able to maintain regular attendance in compliance with our employee guidelines.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform when working.


Ideal candidates will possess a formal training in Hospitality Management, Food & Nutrition or other related fields, plus a minimum of one to two years of relevant experience. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is essential for success in this role. The ability to identify defects in the preparation and service of food and implement improved quality control procedures as well as to communicate effectively with customers and support staff is required.
